Zipper Activity Present the zipper tray to the child and demonstrate the skill of using a zipper. Provide verbal directions as you show the child how to zip. The child can explore with the zipper tray and try to zip. Help the child use their dominant hand to pull the zipper up and down. If they struggle, you can demonstrate the activity again and show the child how to use their other hand to hold the fabric in place as they pull. The goal of this activity is to develop coordination and independence. This activity aids in learning the skill of dressing and undressing.
